Pricing QP SIG
was formed
earlier this
year and
became a
formal part of
OAUG on 13th
July of 2005.
The rational
of starting a
new QP SIG was
as
follows
Oracle Pricing (QP) in 11i is a very complex module and is tightly integrated with a diverse set of modules. Just to list some of them
. Order Management
. Service Contracts
. Procurement
. Trade Management
. Transportation
. Configurator
. Intercompany (Inventory)
As a result more and more organizations are creating specialized/focused Advanced Pricing (IT and Business) teams.
So we thought
that the
time had come to form a Special Interest Group dedicated to QP itself. It
needed to break away from OM Special Interest Groups because (as stated earlier) a lot of diverse modules, that have almost nothing to do with OM, are now closely integrated with QP and hence care about it.
